Girl Gone International Booking Terms and Refunds

Please take the time to read our booking terms and conditions prior to booking with Girl Gone International

Payment Policy

Deposit

The stated deposit is due at the time of booking. The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. You will have the option to pay the deposit or the entire balance at booking.

You will receive automatic payment reminders with a payment link leading up to your trip. 

Full Payment Deadline

The remaining balance should be paid in full 90 days prior to departure. If you are booking within 90 days of departure, then full payment is required at the time of booking. 

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

We understand that sometimes emergencies do occur that may cause you to cancel your reservation. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email. Our cancelation policy is as follows:

The deposit is non-refundable.

If cancellation by the guest occurs 120+ days before the departure date, the full amount minus the deposit is refundable.

If cancellation by the guest occurs 90-120 days before the departure date, then a travel credit for the amount paid minus the deposit will be issued, valid for any other trip until the end of 2022.   

If cancellation by the guest occurs less than 90 days before the departure date no refund is possible.  

MINIMUM ENROLLMENT

Generally for most trips our minimum enrolment is 8 people. If the minimum enrolment is not met 90 days prior to the departure date then the trip may be cancelled in which the full payment including deposit will be refunded. There may be exceptions to this and that is determined on a per-trip basis. Departures are rarely cancelled less than 90 days before departure.

WHAT IF MY 2021 TRIP GETS CANCELLED DUE TO force majeure? (CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE OF THE CONTROL OF Girl gone international)

In the case of Force Majeure cancellation due to global circumstances beyond the control of Girl Gone International such as war, pandemic full travel restrictions, political instability, natural disasters and unavoidable catastrophes where it is seen as highly unsafe to operate any trips – you will receive a travel credit equal to 100% the amount paid to be used for future travel with us. Travel credits are valid until the end of 2022 and can be used for any of our upcoming trips.

Travel Insurance

We require that everyone travelling with Girl Gone International purchase travel insurance with a minimum medical, evacuation and repatriation coverage of €200,000 for the dates of the trip. We further recommend that you select a policy that includes coverage for cancellation, curtailment, and all other expenses that may arise as a result of loss, damage, injury, delay or inconvenience while traveling. Please review your travel insurance to understand what is covered and direct coverage questions to your provider. All guests will be asked to provide proof of travel insurance prior to beginning the trip.

OPERATIONAL PRACTICES AND COVID

We will follow all local restrictions and guidelines as well as taking some extra precautions when travelling to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone on the trip. Guests will be required to pack face masks and hand sanitiser, that may be required at certain points during your trip.

Please only choose to travel if you feel comfortable, and be mindful of other guests on the trip (as we are all in this together!)

  • If you are at a higher risk, we strongly recommend that you choose to not travel.
  • If you have shown any symptoms of Covid, we ask that you do not travel.
  • If you’ve been in contact with someone showing flu-like symptoms in the 14 days leading up to your trip, we ask that you do not travel.

Before arriving at your destination, you will need to make sure you meet all entry and exit requirements. Many countries have put in place new entry measures due to the Covid-19 and these are changing daily. We strongly recommend that you check this information frequently. 

WHAT IF I TRAVEL AND GET SICK OR QUARANTINED BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES?

We will follow policies and advice of the local authorities and your Explorer Chick team will assist you as much as possible – including contacting your emergency contacts and assisting with local medical facilities.

We strongly recommend that you check what level of travel insurance coverage you may be eligible for with your provider.

Please note that Girl Gone International is not responsible for additional costs due to quarantines and/or medical sickness.
